A lot of preparation has brought me to this day, and thanks to everyone who helped in any way. I'm packed to the gills as there were a lot of suggestions, given the length of time we will be gone and the variety of climates and circumstances. Actually, I didn't really have any room for clothes by the time I assembled all my stuff, so I'll be like that naked guy on Survivor. That's one way to do Semester At Sea. Hope I win!
Of course I'm sick, been so all week, as I usually am before any big undertaking (teaching tennis in Canada, Peter and Jen's wedding, most birthdays....) Luckily I will have a few days in the Bahamas to recover. HA!
Most importantly I wanted to leave a link to the Semester At Sea website which gives great detail about the ship, the program, and the destinations: http://www.semesteratsea.com. I'll let you know which trips I'm taking as we get closer.
Brevity is a virtue I'm not always known for, so I will close for now and post again either when I figure out wi-fi or get on the ship (and figure out wi-fi). Classic (late) baby-boomer.....OK Bye.

Welcome to my adventure
Hi Everyone,
This is a work in progress. My main goal was get this set up so I could inform you all, or all y'all, of my address before I left. I will be flying to the Bahamas on Saturday, January 27 to spend a few days before boarding the Semester At Sea ship for training. Students will join us on February 4 and we will sail for Puerto Rico.
Please bear with me as I learn the system and attempt to carve out time to add to the story. I will chat with you more later.
Bye,
Melanie
